About the course
Dangerous goods awareness training is a legal requirement for all persons involved in their transport, including those handling dangerous goods and warehouse staff.
This e-learning course, which is completely online, will provide you with a general overview of the dangerous goods regulations, concentrating on the requirements for packaged goods to be transported by road in the UK and EU.
The course covers the recognition of hazardous chemicals and dangerous goods and the hazards that dangerous goods present, how dangerous goods are described, packed, marked and labelled and the paperwork required to ship them.
The packing and marking provisions for goods packed as limited quantities and excepted quantities are also discussed.
This course provides you with all of the necessary information to meet your legal training obligations.
The course is entirely online and allows you to work through at your own pace.
Downloadable guidance is included with the course for you to reference back to at a later date, lessons are accompanied by interactive exercises and the provisions are explained clearly by video with accompanying examples.

This course is a general introduction to the dangerous goods provisions. Certain groups of staff, such as shippers, packers and drivers, may require further training.
